Are You Judgmental And Don’t Realize It?

9 out of 10 people have unconscious prejudices. Are you one of them?

We live in a world surrounded by biases, prejudices and stereotypes, labeling each and everything as we see it through our own lens. We make premature conclusions about people. Most of us do it. We can’t help it. It’s quite convenient to judge a book by its cover.

How well do you think you know yourself? Do you have hidden feelings towards people of different races, religious faiths, weights and sexualities? What would you do if you discovered that you have prejudices you didn’t even know you had? Would you be willing to find out? If so, “Don’t Judge A Book By Its Cover” from Tokii’s exclusive QP3 App is made just for you. Download this toolkit created by Tokii’s experts for FREE. You may ask, “Why are we doing this?” The answer is that the Tokii team is very passionate about helping people move past their prejudices by introducing them to new perspectives. Take this interactive journey of self-discovery today and join others who wish to bring more peace, awareness, tolerance and compassion to their life and the lives of others.

Almost Killed For Being Gay: Stephen’s Story

As a homeless teenager in Washington DC, I survived by hustling on the streets. While this life was not easy, glamorous or pretty, I didn’t think my sexuality would lead someone to want to kill me.

But one day, I was sitting on a bench in front of a building with two other guys when we heard a group of about a dozen people nearby screaming, “We’ll kill you queers.” I knew we were in trouble.

“I got up and ran. I only made it to the alley before I was sent crashing to the ground as they started kicking and beating and stomping on me. I remember thinking, “This is it. I am going to die today as a homeless kid just because I’m gay.” The last thing I remember was a boot to my head before I was knocked unconscious.”

– Stephen S. Washington DC

The Tokii Inspiration:

This topic came to me when I began to really think about my own prejudices. Who did I judge? Why did I judge them? Where did these judgments come from? Was I even fully aware of them? I started to explore the areas where people seem to have really black and white perspectives, and what I realized is the world is actually very grey. I began to think about ways to help open people’s eyes to new perspectives.  Perhaps through creating this toolkit with Tokii experts, I could help make a difference in the world. Couldn’t we all benefit from being a little more compassionate toward one another and experiencing more peace in our lives?
